keyboard not works in redhat el

Hi all,

i have a problem with my redhat enterprise 3 (2.4.21-4.EL).
When the system boot, my keyboard works fine, if i push the capslock button, the led turn on, but when the login windows appears the keyboard not works and i don't succed to access in the system.
I login to linux system by ssh from another pc, but i don't succed to configure the keyboard.. i check the configuration files like /etc/X11/XF86Config, but this is ok!

can someone help me to solve this problem?!?
