Kanotix: computer recognizes PS/2 optical wheel mouse, but mouse does not work..


okay, i have a kanotix and md my kernel is 2.6.4 The thing is, the computer recognizes my mouse, but the mouse does not want to work. The mouse works on Windows though...so the mouse isnt broken or anything.

Try changing the line

I would also recommend removing the "Serial Mouse" section (unless you actually do use a serial mouse), and maybe try different protocols as well. "IMPS/2" is for a Microsoft Intellimouse, although it does work with other mice, but personally I use "ExplorerPS/2".
