Kali linux ALFA AWU36NH wifi long range adapter connection problem
I have 36NH ALFA WIFI LONG RANGE ADAPTER and I'm using it on kali linux 64 bit 2019 and from last two weeks everything was working totally fine no problem with wifi alfa adapter but today morning without any error I can't use it if I do ifconfig or iwconfig I don't see any information about alfa adapter ??
There is a little change in my problem with wifi adapter when I use virtualbox it stops working i don't know what does that mean ? I installed virtualbox on my kali linux main OS
Okay, skipping the question of why you would use a pentesting distro as your main OS for a second, why do you expect your VirtualBox adapter settings to be an issue related to Kali? This title is slightly misleading IMHO
Did you install virtualbox inside your kali? Does your last post mean wifi works if you don't use virtualbox?
Did you check any logfile?
What do you see with 'ifconfig -a' ?
I added the wifi adapter to the virtualbox USB settings and then I boot up the kali linux and from the devices menu I selected my wifi adapter and it worked fine in monitor mode And there was no need for any special code or driver
Thx for your guys help.
Installing a hacking OS as a main OS there is nothing bad I just need to learn more about it and more practice.
