IRQ conflict

Yo!

I have redhat 7.2 Enigma and while it boots it says that it has some problem with usb-ohci.o file and suggests that I may have bad IRQ or I/O settings. The problem is maybe because it does not regognize well my new MSi motherboard usb ports. However my usb mouse works...

Anyway how to change the IRQ? Should I change the IRQ by disabling auto irq and test different IRQs by trial and error...(this was quite a task and I wasnt really successfull - I didnt use all options, however.)

Or should I change the IRQ of the usb ports by changing them from the Linux with some command promt? How to do this?

please tell this drives me nuts. :-) :-)

You can try to mess with the IRQs in BIOS, however with hardware in Linux, sometimes if it doesn't work initially, it may never work unless you write your own driver.

You might try to upgrade to RedHat 8.0 or 9.0. The possibility exists that either of these distros might have better support for your hardware configuration.
