INstalling HP psc 1410

I"m trying to install an HP psc 1410. I'm running fedora core 3. I have followed the driver installation instructions from hp but near the end it hit a snag.

Step 6 for installation of the driver says
"Enter this command to configure the computer for the driver:
$./configure --prefix=/usr"

However when I do this, this is what I get
"[root@localhost hplip-0.9.7]# ./configure --prefix=/usr

It seems the C++ compiler (gcc-g++) is missing on your box.
No experience with Fedora, but I'm pretty sure you can find the proper RPM by a Google search
Ciao
