What offhand is a miroVideoDC30 card?
Is that just another video card?
Also, what's the current Video card+ X-windows configuration. You really probably haven't made your system unstable as it were, just really confused the heck out of X.
Cheers,

Probably a really odd card, tell kudzu to ignore it for the time being. So even if you give it a "no", the machine crashes?
If so its because RedHat is set to go to runlevel 5 by default, which is multiuser mode + X-windows, X's configuration is hosed so the machine horks...
This is kinda a big RH headache, they've got too much confidence in their configuration tools.
First, lets get the machine to runlevel 3 so we can sort out what card is really onboard:
At the boot prompt with the cool looking splash screen, hit ctrl+x and get a boot prompt:
Linux single
That'll get you to single user mode, as root, with no password.
pico /etc/inittab
That'll open up a simple command line editor to edit the file that keeps launching your system automatically up to runlevel 5. Find the line:
id:5:initdefault:
And change the 5 to a 3. All of the editor's commands are at the bottom of the screen, so it should be pretty easy. With that edited you can reboot the machine and it'll take you to a normal login prompt, no GUI, or you can just bring it up to runlevel 3 manually with:
init 3
Now, what we need most of all is the info right off of the card, so post back with as much info as you can get off of:
/sbin/lspci
Hopefully that'll be a chipset I recognize. Also, you may want to look up the Horizontal Sync and Vertical Refresh rates of your monitor (they may be printed on the back). Yeah, this is kicking it oldschool, but sometimes we have to go back to basics for weird gear.
Cheers,
Finegan
