Installing a Genius ColorPage Vivid-4x Scanner

Hello! Is it possible for me to install my scanner? It is a Genius ColorPage Vivid-4x Scanner. I'm just new to Linux so please bear with the newbie - I'm still hitting the books I'm using Ubuntu Drapper (6.06).

Thanks in advance to those who would reply!

Well, what have you tried?
Probably all you need to do is plug the scanner into your computer and fire up kooka, a useful scanning program (if you are using KDE, not sure about gnome) and off you go.
