I've got an HP LaserJet 6L hooked up to my computer. I went through the online configuration for lpadmin (
http://localhost:631) and set it up (as root). I can print the test page okay but then I've got two problems:
1) when I print from an application, instead of printing 'test' I get some jarbled '%n' instead - even though I'm using the driver recommended by HP.
2) I can only print as root. When I try to access the printers as a normal user I get the following error (three times..one after the other)
There was an error loading kdeprint_lpd. The diagnostic is: Library files for "kdeprint_lpd.la" not found in paths.
Can anyone help with either of the above?
