How to use 'usbdev1.3_ep00' and friends

When I boot, I have in '/dev':
Quote:
usbdev1.1_ep00
usbdev1.1_ep81
usbdev1.2_ep00
usbdev1.2_ep02
usbdev1.2_ep81
usbdev2.1_ep00
usbdev2.1_ep81
usbdev3.1_ep00
usbdev3.1_ep81
usbdev4.1_ep00
usbdev4.1_ep81
usbdev5.1_ep00
usbdev5.1_ep81
When I plug in my USB TV capture cable View Here, I have:
Quote:
sbdev1.1_ep00
usbdev1.1_ep81
usbdev1.2_ep00
usbdev1.2_ep02
usbdev1.2_ep81
usbdev1.3_ep00
usbdev1.3_ep81
usbdev1.3_ep82
usbdev1.3_ep84
usbdev2.1_ep00
usbdev2.1_ep81
usbdev3.1_ep00
usbdev3.1_ep81
usbdev4.1_ep00
usbdev4.1_ep81
usbdev5.1_ep00
usbdev5.1_ep81
I have some new ones (usbdev1.3_ep82 etc). They are discussed here

Link

Can I assume that this is the same as a 'sdb1' for mounting purposes? How to use them.

Scrape the above request for help. If you replied, THANKS.
New information.

Previouly when I booted, and ran 'lsusb' I only showed:
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 05e1:0408 Syntek Semiconductor Co., Ltd
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 059b:0370 Iomega Corp.

Then I installed: xawTV, gxine, xine, me TV. One of them triggered something. Because I now have:
Quote:
dave@Dafy:~$ lsusb
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 05e1:0408 Syntek Semiconductor Co., Ltd
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 059b:0370 Iomega Corp.
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
A google search for '05e1:0408 Syntek Semiconductor Co., Ltd' leads me to an EASYCAP device.
A google search for '1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub' leads me back to the same device.

[ 15.294221] usbcore: registered new interface driver snd-usb-audio
Is the 'dmesg' output telling me that my device is mounted on 'usb1'? If so, I also have a 'boot' on an external USB 1TB drive mounted there.

I have 2 devices plugged into the USB Capture Cable shown in the link in the first message. S-video and sound. Both hooked to a Hi-8 Camcorder.
If 'usb 1-1' and 'usb 1-8' are my connections to the camera, which is sound?

Any insight to this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Dave

PS
On another site someone mentioned 'usbmount' and sure enough that was downloaded with the other apps. Maybe that was the trigger.
DK

Back to square one. Further digging:
Quote:
dave@Dafy:/var/run/usbmount$ dir -l
total 0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 11 2009-09-16 12:19 ST310005_28AS_1 -> /media/usb0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 11 2009-09-16 12:19 ST310005_28AS_6 -> /media/usb1
dave@Dafy:/var/run/usbmount$
This is my USB 1TB harddrive.
