Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Question How to make Logitech K360 *missing USB dongle* & Razor RZ02-0200 work?

For the K360, I think I must wait for
US_2.4G Wireless Receiver for Mouse And Keyboard USB Adapter Wireless Dongle,
because I don't see any port on it, to connect to.
(That will be my family's Xmas gift to me, since for $2.18 +$0! shipping, it may not arrive until January!)

When I plug in the Razor RZ02-0200, to MX-19 +latest updates, on 1005PE
it does NOthing, but lsusb sees:
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 1532:0c00 Razer USA, Ltd Firefly

Is it supposed to act like a touchpad? Or maybe it's dead(?): it doesn't light up.
(All my belongings come from the trash; I hate money & never spend any!)

Bottom line: does a "Gaming Mouse Mat" act like a touchpad?
(I did Google that, but I didn't 'get=grok' an answer from what it found.

From what I just read it is only a mouse pad with builtin RGB LEDs. The LEDs maybe only visible if the room is completely dark and there are some utilities to configure them which means it is probably useless for someone running linux.

The K360 needs a unifying receiver but what is pictured does not look like a Logitech device so I have my doubts as to whether it is compatible.
