Its not a good idea to make multipule threads on the same subject.

By the way, there seems to be a lot threads by you on very similar subjects nypd365. I thuink you would do best to create a thread in Linux - Newbie and try to get everything in the one thread. Call it something like "Newbie looking for help with 1st time install", and post what hardware you want to get going, and what problems you have been having.

Note to moderators/admins- I'm not suggesting that all nypd365s threads should be rolled into one. Besides making a lot of work for you, it would be pretty confusing.

Multiple threads on the same issue is considered spamming in a lot of ways, and goes against netiquette in general. No matter how urgent you consider the situation to be.

It creates more load on the servers, databases, and makes reproduction of effort far more likely.

You edited out the 'its not my place to say it' bit before I replied, but I consider that wrong as well. As a community member, I believe it is my place to point out these sort of things, provided that I'm not rude or abusive while I do so.

We cant expect the admins and mods to be everywhere, all the time. If a forum member can help reduce the workload on admins and mods, that is not a bad things at all.
