How to install SiS 660 driver? Linux Mint 2.2

Linux Mint xorg.conf does not install the correct video driver
It used the vesa driver instead of SiS 660
SuSE 10.2 got it right though
How to get and install SiS driver?

lspci | grep -i pci || lspci
00:01.0 PCI bridge: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] SiS AGP Port (virtual PCI-to-PCI bridge)
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 661/741/760/761 PCI/AGP VGA Display Adapter

I'm pretty sure SIS drivers are included in the kernel.

I assume that since you're using Mint, you're pretty new. I don't know what gui tools Mint may have available, but the normal solution would be to edit your xorg.conf file, and replace "vesa" with "sis"

...and what is this doing in the Ubuntu forum?

Good idea

Thanks. I have been using Linux off and on since 1997. It was barely useable when I started. Sometimes I also forget what I knew before especially when using Suse. You will find alot of people are too busy to hack with Linux alot. I assume you know Linux Mint is based very much on Ubuntu? So where is that forum?
