Exclamation Help! About using joypad in linux redhat 9.0

My linux is redhat 9.0 2.4.20 -8.
My joypad is a usb joypad made in China.
The operations are:

#su
#modprobe joydev
#modprobe input
#modprobe usbcore
#modprobe hid
#jstest --normal /dev/js0

Then the keyboard's lights of the CapsLock and ScrollLock splash and my computer is collapsed!

What 's wrong with it?
