GA-H270N-WIFI as a WAP with hostapd

Hello. I'm thinking of upgrading my home server, which runs CentOS 7 Linux with iptables configured to do NAT and dnsmasq along with a few other daemon services (like NFS, Samba, httpd, postfix). I currently have an external box to provide Wifi access to my wireless devices. I'm thinking of getting this motherboard:

http://www.gigabyte.us/Motherboard/G...WIFI-rev-10#kf

and running hostapd:

https://w1.fi/hostapd/

to provide wireless access to my home network, but I'm not entirely certain if the wifi built into this motherboard will work with hostapd, or how strong the wireless access will be. Does anybody have any thoughts on this? I'm also open to suggestions of other motherboards, as long as they have dual gigabit ethernet ports.

Thanks.
