Latest update: An ACER technician came to my house, found no problem with the hard drive. The problem lies
in the faulty card reader (the slots for SD card etc). He carried the CPU back to the company to
replace the faulty unit.

Hence the BIOS was waiting for the faulty card reader to time out or something and that is the reason
why booting process is slow.
