I have an Epson Stylus TX-105 attached to a PC running Ubuntu. After several months of not using it, it printed faintily. I assume i have to change ink cartridges. So i press the button and the cart won't move to changing position. I don't want to force it by hand...Since i run Ubuntu there's no software to diagnose status. Are there any relevant commands..?? Any tips..?
Thanks.-
I used to have an Epson (not the same model--I tried to find a downloadable manual for your model and didn't have any luck that I could use--they were all in Italian, which I don't read, or wanted money, which I don't have, or, the worst of all, wanted to install a fastdownloader.exe on my Debian computer).
Mine was a Stylus CX-300-something that looked a lot like the pictures I found of yours. It had a little display window and some menu buttons on the front. By pushing the buttons under the little display on the printer, I could get to a change cartridge menu item that would move the printhead aside.

Thanks a bunch Frankbell..! I just learned that my old TX-105 was boycotted by a jerk who manhandled the printer head. Not everything on this forum has to do with hardware troubleshooting. There's also small time crime, jealousy and stuff that belongs elsewhere...
Next step, i'll try a recommended the mechanic. Thank you..!!

Your statement needs to be explained a little better;

What crime? You do know that the forum is moderated. If you have a problem within a forum thread then please use the <Report> button and explain the situation for the post in question. Flat statements like yours do cause issues. Especially when ambiguous!
