Duel Monitors on an ATI card

Hey everyone,

I am thinking about an LCD monitor to add to my Linux box. I don't want to ditch my 21inch CRT because the quality can't match any LCD, but I still want an LCD so I can carry it around when I bring my computer places, and so that I can have two monitors at once.

I have a Radeon 8500 graphics card with the drivers working great. Is there any possible way for me to run two monitors on the same graphics card? I have seen this beeing done on two different graphics cards - but I was wondering if I could run one CRT and one LCD on the same graphics card? Is there any way I can configure Xfree to do this?

All help is greatly appreciated! THANKS!

The XFree86 radeon driver supports dual monitors, as long as the card does. For more info on the driver read the man page. If you want to Google around for a bit, using two monitors is often referred to as a "dual head" setup.
