Dual Monitor using Suse10

hello...

There used to be dual head mode in Suse9.3 that would allow for dual monitor flexibility. Now that I've installed Suse10, I'm unable to use dual monitor feature as I see none. I'm using matrox dual head card which is not a problem coz I know I had it working under 9.3.

any suggestions/advice would be much appreciated.

For which card? Best way is propietary drivers from ATI or Nvidia. But for ATI do not setup dual head/multiple monitors until AFTER the reboot and then do it from their GUI. Saves a world of hurt.

The version of SaX2 shipped with SuSE 10 is very broken - I had to build the xorg.conf by hand. However SaX2 has since been fixed and updated builds can be had from ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/sax/head-build/suse-10.0

the above link is no longer valid, they've updated the folder structure to allow both i386 and x86_64 to have separate downloads. ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/sax/head-build from here is a choice based on your architecture.
