Question dual head display : RV100

Gudday : any folks know why my copy of Mandrake 9.0 runs like a wet slug on carpet when it is using the dual head AGP card manufactured by Jetway using the RADION VE chipset (as recognised under Windows) and under the Jetway site it is listed as a RV100B1C.

http://www.mandrakelinux.com/en/hard...ideo&F_ID=2270

1) recognition correct
2) output slow
3) dual head only mirroring, not extended desktop or anything else.

Things like the TRON racing game runs at 1 frame per second which is kinda bad in my understanding. Turning off all the features and reducing the screen size to miniscule pumps it up to 1.5 frames.

Any suggestions?

Cheers!

If its a re-distributed ATI chipset then their drivers don't work, if I recall correct anyway, which means using xinerama for spanning, which means no DRI and therefore, no hardware acceleration for games... which is why I keep 2 XF86Config files around for games. Post back with your whole XF86Config file, we can sort out the messy parts.

Cheers,

Finegan
