Direct Cable Connection using LPT1

Hi Guys,
How can I connect my Linux box to a windows 2000 machine using Direct Cable Connection
from my Parallel port (LPT1)?

Is there a software written for linux to achieve this?

Thankx in advance...

Well I looked here
http://www.torque.net/linux-pp.html
and on Sourceforge and couldn't find anything.

Why not buy two Network Cards (less than $10 each), and Crossover Network Cable ($10?) and build a little Ethernet LAN.

The speeds you'll get for file transfer and the like are FAR FAR higher than you'll get with a parallel port connection.

Just my $0.02

Cheers
Jo
