Question Direct Cable Connection between Slack 10.0 and Windows XP

2 computers: 1) Win. XP 2) Slack 10.0 Linux

Directly connected through a cable ( not the LPT1, but the other one, i think com1 )

I want to network them in this way, I understand the XP stuff, but I don't understand how to get Linux configured to accept the connection.

I have been tinkering with this for a few days ( antagonizing )

Help would be much appreciated ^_^

Thanks, John

Serial line (com) network driver is called SLIP in linux, but I have no idea if it is compatible with the windows way of doing it. Try googling for "SLIP".
