I have Red had distibution 7.2 and Kernel version 2.4.22. We are using a Digi Portserver TS 8. After running our application for a little while, the sessions that are running on these ports start to respawn over top of each other. The server doesn't kill the original session and we end up with two or more of the same thing running on the same port. Things start to freeze up and act weird. I'm not sure if it's something we missed in inittab, but it looks fine. We are using the real port software that automatically puts the device in the inittab. I'm thinking it's some kind of communications deal. This is happening with every system we have out there with a portserver involved.
