Different way of handling keyboard entries by Linux compared to WIndows?

Hi all!

I try to install a Gigatek PCS230 proximity cardreader on a linux system.
The card is connected using a keyboard wedge, so it translates the cardnumber into keyboard strokes. THis works well under windows. But when I use it under Linux, the cardnumber does not show up in the editor. Only the CR seems to work under linux.

Any suggestions? I would like to run this application under Linux, but have no clues left.

Thanks!

With kind regards,

Marcel Gommans
