Dell Keyboard - make the buttons useful w/ Linux

I have a Dell keyboard with three buttons on top and on my Win machine they were programmable to do whatever I wanted. Is there a utility in Linux that would allow me to do the same thing?

if you use gnome 2.8, it's built into the keyboard properties (it's in the gnome menu under preferences....or i think you could run "gnome-keybinding-properties")
otherwise, look for acme. it's a gnome app, but should work with other WM's (i am positive it works with enlightenment, but im not sure about kde)
give it a shot....it worked fine for me. I have the logitech cordless elite. you can customize it to do alot of different things....
