CS4236 sound card
Hi folks
I have an old-ish dell gx1 (PII-400) with everything on board and using mdk 9.0
I'm trying to get the sound device working with no luck, no point showing the result of lspci because it's not there. I've double checked my bios settings and yes it's enabled. I use W-blows and all works OK. I use RH9 and all works OK but mdk 9 refuses to see it .
Anyone got any suggestions on how to aproach this one.

Well, if anyone's interested I got it working using sndconfig. Why it doesn't show up with lspci I don't know. Using RH8/9 I can see it but MDK 9 nope.
Perhaps someone who's more knowledgable than I can suggest something. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong. Would appreciate the feedback.
