I've worked for two weeks to install the alsa driver on my etower 366c. I'm finally at the last bit (i hope). I've compiled all software according to http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc...&module=cs4236
I'm at the part where I type modprobe snd-cs4236;modprobe snd-pcm-oss;modprobe snd-mixer-oss;modprobe snd-seq-oss.

I get the following error:

does anyone know what is going on? I would very much appreciate any help. I will help three other people at least if I can just get some help.

I have kernel 2.4.18
cs4235-8 crystal sound card
suse 8.0
