Connecting ADSL router using USB

hi to all frnds and linux Guru's I have just installed Suse 9.1 on my PC but I am somewhat confused to connect my Huawei WA1003A Adsl router to my linux system but I am facing following issue :

Suse is identifing my ADSL router as a dialup modem so I am not able to configure it plz tell me the way to make my os to identify it as an ADSL modem

I would recommend you to connect it to a LAN/Ethernet port that the router has with your ethernet port on your computer.
The router box, should probably have a CAT 5e/6 cable to do this!

SuSE Linux would identify your LAN Card, and probably, you may leave it to the SERVER to use DHCP for configuring your computer to be a part of the network!
