Celestron Nexstar 140GT - Connect to laptop

I have a Celestron Nexstar 140 GT telescope that I want to use with kstars. I ordered a cable, but it's for Celestron's new Nexstar, and it doesn't fit my scope. If anyone knows where to get one, please let me know, because the other option is infinitely less attractive: I'm considering building my own. I know nothing about it, so please let me know what you can tell me. Building it shouldn't be a problem, I can solder and splice, but as for drivers, all I know I got from another post, where I learned I need a sniffer. Please let me know what you think.

Thanks,
-Peter
