Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

CDRW mounted as rw

I would like to be able to mount my CDRW as rw, but as far as I can see it only mounts as ro.

Is it possible to do this?

I have created a RW disk using K3b and can read it in Konqueror OK, but I would like to do a simple drag and drop file backup to it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

You cannot mount a CD as rw AFAIK. When you burn data to a disc it's not even mounted - The burning program accesses the device directly, instead of writing to a file system as usual.

I think when this is done in Windows, it is done with the udf filesystem, and Linux doesn't write udf very well (worse than ntfs).
