Canon MP150: Activation pixma failed

Hi,

I have Suse 10.1 and sane 1.0.18 installed which have support for the Canon MP150 multfunctional. I found the scanner support in the list of scanner. when installing I get the following message: Activation pixma failed.

Has anyone an idea what this error means and how to solve this issue?

The problem is solved, read below:

Please make sure that dll.conf also get updated. Normally, rpm
doesn't replace the old config file. It creates dll.conf.rpmnew
instead. The most important thing is that dll.conf must have
a line contains "pixma" or "#pixma". Problem
solved?
