Cannot wake from suspend with Logitech EX100 Cordless Desktop
I am trying to make my computer to wake from suspend by either pressing a key or clicking the mouse. (It doesn't by default.) I have a Logitech EX100 Cordless Desktop. I tried enabling USB1 (the port the receiver is plugged into) in /proc/acpi/wakeup, but now the computer wakes up instantly when I try to put it to sleep. Anyone know how to make it stay asleep, and then wake up when I either click the mouse or press a key?
I have a Logitech EX100 cordless keyboard/mouse too.
Even with the BIOS setting: Wake up on USB (S3) it doesn't wakeup.
I guess the problem is when the computer is in the S3 state (suspend) there is no power on USB ports. I can confirm this because my computer has a barcode reader that has a led which is on all the time, except when the computer is hibernating or in suspend mode.
The keyboard and mouse has it's own power supply but not the RF receiver which depends on the power from USB port to work.
Actually, I did get it working. My motherboard is an Asus P5KPL-CM, and Asus ships it with one of the jumpers across the "wrong" set of pins (that is, wrong for waking from sleep). I moved the jumper, and now I can press Space to wake the computer!
Can you post how Asus call this jumper ? My motherboard is not an Asus, and checking the manual I can't find anything related, at least not anything I could identify.
Not a big deal for me anyway. The computer case is next to me at the distance of my hand and I can press the power button to wake up. But would be nice to wake up just by pressing the space key as you did.
May be with the name of jumper as a hint I can find a similar jumper in my motherboard...
USB device wake-up (3-pin PS2_USBPW1-8)
Set these jumpers to +5V to wake up the computer from S1 sleep mode (CPU stopped, DRAM refreshed, system running in low power mode) using the connected USB devices. Set to +5VSB to wake up from S3 and S4 sleep modes (no power to CPU, DRAM in slow refresh, power supply in reduced power mode).
On the P5PKL-CM, it is located behind the USB and Ethernet ports.
