Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Cannot keep wireless Belkin F5D8053 connected on Ubuntu 8.0.4-1

I have connected to my encrypted network and Belkin N-Spec router but I may do one download and then the blue light stays on. When things are working correctly the blue light blinks. It blinked with Windows XP and now it blinks for a few web page views and then it locks. I can get it to work again normally using command line tools.

My issue is that I want it to remain on when I'm not around. I use it as a home server and it's very irritating. And, it should remain active if a user desires that behavior.

Any thoughts, corrections, or answers please post. I'm not a Windows fan but XP did not give me this trouble.

Using ndiswrapper here in NC,

David

Connected

This may be fixed via disable of ipv6. It seems to be working now that ipv6 has been turned off.
