Is there a cdwriter entry (or whatever group the burner is associated with) in the /etc/group file? Perhaps you could try adding the user to that group?
Just a thought.

Please provide more details about the steps you are running when you attempt to burn, plus any error messages, etc that are generated. Having that background data would be very helpful in trying to diagnose the issue. -- J.W.

Well, when I try to burn something with K3B it says that I don't have a permission to cdrecord.

I'd suggest that you run k3bsetup to configure the necessary permissions. Once you've done that, you should be able to burn CD/DVD using k3b as yourself. I can certainly do that on my system.
