I recently installed a Linksys WMP54G v4.1 wireless NIC after my other, older, crappier Linksys NIC ceased to cut the mustard. Before doing this, Linux had been detecting my Audigy 2 sound card and ALSA/PulseAudio would recognize it.
After install, I can get on the internet once again, but my sound was not working. The following is the output from "lspci -v", taken two minutes ago.

Clearly, Linux is aware that it exists. However, ALSA and PulseAudio are no longer aware that it exists. I use both sound servers, as I have just installed Ubuntu 9.04 within the past 2 days.
Thinking that there might be an issue with the kernel (I use the stock kernel that comes with the x86 version of Ubuntu 9.04, which is 2.6.28-11), I tried "dmesg | grep pci" and got this:

I'm about as far away as you can get from being a linux guru without leaving the building, but it would appear that my Audigy 2 can no longer claim resources during system boot. If this is the case, what methods are available to me to allow the kernel to allocate system resources to my sound card? If this is not the case, what may be causing this issue with my sound card? Could the new NIC I mentioned earlier have something to do with it?
Many thanks in advance!
