AsusP4C800 and ICH5 troubles


Hi guys!
I installed MDK9.0 on this system (2WD STATA Raptors connected to ICH5 SATA connectors) in compartability mode
and my hdd -> hda and hdb.
so on hda i installed system,recopile kernel 2.4.21 and got ICH5 support (drives boost up to 35Mb/s) but when I set in BIOS enhanced mode my HDDs becomes hde and hdg and I got kernel panic that there is no /
how can i tell linux that i got another partitions ( changing in fstab hda to hde halt the system (

Is there any links how to made custom setup CD? I want include ICH5 support.

Still no luck with PDC20378 (

Did you start: lilo -v?
Try to edit /etc/lilo.conf (booting from a rescue flop/cd) and make sure your root device is set to:
root=/dev/hde (or whatever is your root device)
