I am having serious trouble getting my network card working on Mandrake 9.1. I have an ASUS P4S8X mb and it has the build in LAN that uses the SiS900. I have found a few things pertaining to this topic on various forums, but nothing that is any help to me. I am very new to Linux. If anyone could help me out I would appreciate it greatly! Thanks ~ Rich
I have a machine with that same mainboard. It had ugly windows xp os on it the prob I had with was that it woudn't send emails with attachments. That fault was with the SIS 900 onboard network card. My solution was to disable the network card in bios and install a new different type network card. It worked fine afterwards.
