Support for Asus P4S8X

I've tried installing several distros on Asus P4S8X and just can't get it to work out. I have insatalled Red Hat 8.0, Mandrake, 9.0 and Debian 3.0(sarge), and all of them fail to see my NIC and sound card. If anyone knows please respond.

Here's all the Specs for the board and there's links to SIS's site for further information.

These SIS board add-ons are pretty next gen. SiS is pretty good at getting Linux drivers online asap, unfortunately they've now got this sign up thing to even get to look at them and I'm sick of spam as it is, even though I doubt they'll send me any... but the sound chipset for instance, the Cmedia 9739, is one gen past what I think is kernel current: 8783, so you'll most likely only be able to use manufacturer drivers.

Cheers,

i have the same motherboard and i have manged to get the onboard sound/network card to work in linux:

Network:
first you have to use the latest stable kernel 2.4.20

Thank you for your help!

Redhat haven't support the 2.4.20 kernel yet, but they will soon I think.
