asus P45333 v CentOS

Hey all,

I'm having a problem with a new CentOS box I'm trying to set up and it's mouse. basically the install goes fine but the mouse won't move! the box is a 2.4Ghz P4 running on a Asus motherboard with 512Mb and the mouse is a bog standard PS2 effort. I've tried reinstalling the OS, installing the perevious version and trying different mice - no luck. I was begining to think it was hardware related but i've managed to use a knoppix livecd ok on that box as well as install in win2k (steady!) with no issues.

has anyone heard of any issues with the asus m/board? I can only assume it this and not something serious, but if anyone can help they'd be most welcome.

Tim.
