Asus A7V8X AGP problems (VIA chipset unsupported)

Hi,
I've got an Asus A7V8X but the kernel doesn't seem to like it very much...
at boot it tells me something like

agpgart: Unsupported Via chipset (device id: 3189), you might want to try agp_try_unsupported=1

and sometimes a strange message appears on the screen:

spurious 8259A interrupt: IRQ7

... I made some researches on the internet, but I simply can't find out anything to solve these problems...

However I use an LFS (LFS 4.1) with kernel 2.4.20...

PLEASE HELP ME!

first of if you have a via chipset you should try an AC kernel patch or turn off usb in your bios. I recommend using the AC patch.

thanks, i probably solved the first problem... what about the second... does anyone know?
i read that it is a problem with the LPT port... but i changed the settings in the bios and it goes on... what can i do?
