I get this ith hdd in new pc. Both were 64bit pcs. E not ctrl+alt+F1-F9 work

APCI errors were with new, never os ssd.

Hhd is a lost cause. It came from laptop, and I can't even get to editer or grub with it

This is perfectly possible, however manual intervention might be necessary (mostly UUIDs in /etc/fstab, later maybe also adjusting for a different GPU).
Unfortunately, Ubuntu is not the best OS for this because "froze at purple screen" has NO troubleshooting value.
