Angry Any success with hw accel on ATI Radeon 7000??

Hey guys,

I have an ATI Radeon 7000 QY 32mb pci card. Doesnt work well when in AGP mode. I downloaded a recent version of slackware, and would sincerely appreciate help with getting the hardware acceleration to work, or atleast to get it to work at normal speed for an average SVGA card. Now, the problem is that I dont know where the problem is... So, I would greatly appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction.

Some more info.I have slackware 9.1 [ XFree86 4.3.0, and kernel 2.4.22 ] . Boots alright and everything. I tried to install the drm package, and it didnt work, also tried the ati driver and it didnt work. I hence need some help.

Ill be waiting to hear from you.
Thanks in advance.
