Gday All, I am not even new to Linux as I havent touched it yet but I intend to install it on my new PC. I am Planning on building thisMore or less) P4 3.4GHz ASUS P4C800 E Deluxe 4 X 74 Gb Raptors in Raid 0+1 8x DVD Burner Pioneer Leadtek FX5950 ultra A380 I want to install Mandrake 10 only on this system (No Microslop) I have read around the forum that Software Raid is probably faster than Chipset IE ICH5(which also has problems under LInux), Is the software Raid Native to Mandrake or do I need a 3rd party solution or plug in? If so any suggestions? Are there any other Issues I would need to look at with the installation IE Drivers? And apart from hardware manufacturers; are there any good download sites for Linux drivers? I am still in the planning stages of the build so any and all suggestions are welcome and will be taken on board! Thanks for your advice!
