Advice on a Sound Card

I've got a Sound Blaster in my machine and run SuSE 9.2 (2.6.8-24.14-smp)

Rather than dealing with the headache of trying to get this particular card to work (and considering the cost of sound cards these days - which are relatively cheap) - I decided it'd just be easier to go out and buy a new card. I am getting sound now through my onboard card (but honestly the sound it produces isn't very good).

Does anyone know of a decent sound card that supported by Linux?

Per the LQ Rules, please do not bump your own thread until at least 24 hours have elapsed without a reply. Because the LQ membership is global, people in other time zones may not have seen this post yet, and thus it may take some time before a response is received.

The Sound Blaster is probably the single most popular sound card under Linux. It has been supported for years with the emu10k1 driver. What headaches are you having here?

I have SB audigy card, and have never had a problem getting this thing to work...
