a problem with bttv in kernel 2.6.20


hallo everyone,

yesterday I install a video-capture card in my computer, and after that when I restarted my computer I found that it takes a long time before the loginscreen appeard.

This videocapture-card is a 4 channel capture uses BT878 chip, and in start process, it nearly stop when the "bttv" appears.

4 channels? That sounds like a pretty exotic piece of hardware!

Quite possibly it is unsupported. Have you checked the wiki at

http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.ph...orted_Hardware ?

(I assume this is a digital (DVB) unit. Sometimes the mailing lists at the same site have more up-to-date information on new hardware. I think some dual tuner device was recently reported as working, but is not in the wiki yet.
