Question 3Com Homeconnect ADSL Modem PCI

I have the 3CP3617 ADSL modem and I'm not able to find any linux-compatible driver... I'm quite sure some time ago there was a linux driver in the 3com download page, but now I only get no support for linux
Does anybody know if there is some compatible driver for this device to be used with PPPoE? I'd like to build a router-firewall linux-based using this modem, but as long as I'm not able to find any driver I can't do nothing but sitting here and continue to use Windows Xp ICS (not the best choice...)
I was almost forgetting: there isn't a "Buy another modem" option

Unhappy

I searched the forum, the 3com drivers page and Google pages... No good, it seems many people asked before for the 3cp3617 linux drivers but they found any...
Anyway, I was thinkink... I was going to buil a router-firewall trying to use freesco from a floppy disk, from a guide I found it seems you don't need specific drivers for the modem connected to the router via ethernet card, and you don't need drivers for the ethernet card either (correct me if I'm wrong, and I'm afraid I am...). The Homeconnect PCI works exactly like an ethernet modem connected to an ethernet card, but the two boards are just built together...
So, what would happen if I tell the sistem there is an ethernet card connected to a modem instead of a modem?
