3Com 3CRDAG675 Wireless PCI and RedHat 9

OK, I am running ReHat 9 and have kept the kernel updated using up2date. Currently, I am at kernel 2.4.20-30.9. I just purchased a 3Com wireless a/b/g PCI adapter, model 3CRDAG675, and am attempting to install on my computer. I got the latest madwifi drivers from CVS and when I go to run make, I get the following:

The present kernel configuration has modules disabled. Type 'make config' and enable loadable module support. Then build a kernel with module support enabled.

I am not a linux expert, and am not sure where to go from here. How would I discover what modules I am missing? I can't seem to find much on the madwifi homepage on sourceforge. Where would I go to read how to build a kernel with those modules? Is there anyone else that has run into this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

David Franklin
