Wine
Is there a good version of WINE out there that is free? I downloaded one and tried to run Warcraft 3 on my machine but I got an error saying that warcraft 3 was not compatible with win95!
$ cvs -d: pserver:anonymous@cvs.winex.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/winex login
Hit Enter when prompted for a password
$ cvs -z3 -d: pserver:anonymous@cvs.winex.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/winex co wine
---taken from the transgaming site
remove the space between the "-d:" and the "pserver" on both lines.

I downloaded what you said to download, however when I installed it, I got some sort of error about a directory. I looked at the version file and it was a very old version so I downloaded the most recently released version and after installing it I still got the same error........
how would it be an old version?
CVS is the very latest development code.
have you installed winex before?
if so go into the winex root (/home/opafire/wine)
and type make uninstall
if you downloaded/compiled/installed another wine, redownload it, configure it and type make uninstall.
if you downloaded and installed an RPM of wine/winex, find out the package name and type "rpm -e <package_name>"
then go to the winex root and type:-
"make clean"
"make distclean"
"./tools/wineinstall"
and go through with that.
P.S.
winex is a commercial product but the development code is free.
