What kinds of Services do you prefer for file server.

I am thinking about building some files server control panel will will run your basic file server protocols and I am just interested in what services do you guys/gals prefer running on a file server.

If I do successfully build this it will be a file server with a web based gui with preferred protocols and of course maybe a plugin system to allow adding extras.

Thanks

If you ever used freenas or openfiler it will be kinda like that only instead of it being a entire distro it will be a script kinda how webmin but with more focus toward files system for CentOS/RHET Linux for starters and maybe other distros later. Its just a project to practice perl and may become a full on going project if I do a good job. And yes it will be opensource.
