website and linux interaction

Hi guys

I am trying to findd out how to get a website to interact with the linux box itself.

The situation is i have a website and i want it so that everytime a user registers with the site they get their own little web space they can do what they want with. i.e. asite.com/~blah or any other method etc...
so the background of adding to the apache conf file will need to be done and creating directories etc...
I assume it will probably be something like perl but im not really sure where to start looking and what im looking for.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

You are indeed after CGI ... can be perl, doesn't have to
though. But you're exposing the box to a severe risk if
you allow this ...

Cheers,
