wanting to forward MX to another server

I have a server operating is a web and dns server, I want it to forward mail requests to another server.

This is what I think I need to do.

A Record
mail.mydomain.com = ip address of server to send to
MX Record
mydomain.com = mail.mydomain.com

Is that right?

I not much understand what you want.
This kind of configuration can do.
abc.com - 202.1.1.1 (just example)
mail.abc.com - 202.1.1.5
